Last month saw the first release of Assetto Corsa Competizione – the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. Developer Kunos Simulazioni has recently shared the title’s first-week stats which make for some impressive reading.
During the first week of Assetto Corsa Competizione’s release, players have amassed a total distance of over 5 million kilometres, over 1 million laps of the Nurburgring GP circuit were driven (I feel sorry for the tyres) of which an impressive 85% of those were “clean”.
You can view the list of interesting facts below.
First week of Assetto Corsa Competizione:
- 1,029,234 laps driven
- 85% of laps are valid (means that 85% of the total laps have been scored without invalidating the lap time by going out of the track’s limits)
- 5,297,292 Km driven (this equals 132 times the Earth’s circumference)
- The first Steam user of Assetto Corsa Competizione was on the track after just 4 minutes from the release
- More than 11,000 sessions scored a lap under 1:57.000 (what we call the lap time limit for hardcore level sim racers)
Assetto Corsa Competizione’s third release is due on November 14 bringing with it the BMW M6 GT3, Circuit de Paul Ricard, endurance racing, and more. The full release is expected within Q1, 2019.
