Assetto Corsa Competizione will be released on 12th September later this year, as a Steam Early Access title.
Announced during the 24 Hours of Spa endurance race weekend, Assetto Corsa Competizione’s initial release date means the upcoming sim racer will follow in the footsteps of the original Assetto Corsa game – which also had an initial launch on Steam Early Access.
It’s unclear how long Assetto Corsa Competizione will remain in the programme. For reference, developer Kunos Simulazioni launched the first Assetto Corsa game in November 2013 as a Steam Early Access title, with a feature-complete release candidate build of the game being released during October 2014.
Kunos Simulazioni is also yet to confirm what will be present in the initial Early Access builds. The Vallelunga-based studio has confirmed, though, the complete Assetto Corsa Competizione game will contain all of the cars, teams, drivers and tracks from the Blancpain GT Series.
More details on Assetto Corsa Competizione’s initial launch status are anticipated to be disclosed closer to the title’s Steam Early Access release this September.
I can’t wait. I bought NetKar Pro, Early access for AC and will do the same for ACC.
