News Asphalt 9: Legends releases on Switch with exclusive content

Asphalt 9: Legends is now available as a free-to-download game on the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop.

Asphalt 9: Legends on the Switch releases with all the gameplay modes of the original release, including online play, multiplayer crews, a range of world-famous licensed cars and tracks found across the title’s single-player campaign.

Asphalt 9: Legends launches with nearly 60 super and hypercars including the Bugatti Chiron, the McLaren P1 and the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio.

The Switch version introduces exclusive features including local split-screen multiplayer and a brand new Quick Race mode, playable both offline and online. The game supports up to 8 players in online play free-for-all and up to four-player local split-screen. Other exclusive content includes a blue and red decal for the BMW Z4 LCI E89, available for all players to unlock.

Control options are tailored to fit Nintendo Switch, allowing for a variety of play styles, using Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, gyroscopic motion controls, touch screen controls, or the Touchdrive.

Additionally, the “Asphalt 9: Legends Starting Racer Pack” is available to purchase and unlocks supercars and resources to boost progress at a cost of $19.99.

Those that have already purchased the mobile and PC versions of the game will benefit from an update bringing the new content over time according to the publisher.
