Independent developer Zordix have announced that their upcoming water-based racer Aqua Moto Racing Utopia will be coming to Steam's Early Access programme on July 13.
The title will be available at a lower price point with 33% off the usual price, although what this price actually is has not yet been stated. Zordix have recently released new gameplay footage of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia which can be seen below.
“For a long time the water racer genre has been neglected by the big guns of the industry. We have picked up the dropped gauntlet to joust the mighty forces that makes good games bad”, stated Zordix. “We quickly realized that we are Wizards, dropped the gauntlet and started weaving our powerful magic into pure fun instead.”
Aqua Moto Racing Utopia takes lots of cues from classic water-racers such as Wave Race but brings the action up to modern day standards with the game running at 60 frames per second and at 1080p resolution. Aqua Moto Racing Utopia features the usual array of a single player campaign and multiplayer racing both online and via split screen.
Aqua Moto Racing is expected to release on the Wii U, PlayStation 4 and PC platforms some time this year.
