Release Date: 24/08/2018

ApexOnlineRacing (AOR) and EventsHouse have laucnhed their “AOR 2019 Esports Teams Tournament”.

Utilising Codemasters’ F1 2018 title, players will compete in 50% races making the action more of a marathon than a sprint.

The competition will run across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms (minimum age of 16) and culminate with a live UK final featuring the top 3 teams from each platform. Players will then battle it out on their respected platforms for a share of the £5,000 prize pool.

Races will be broadcast from the new AOR TV studio, powered by Events House, and viewable on the Official AOR YouTube channel. You can check out the announcement trailer below.

The tournament is open to new and old teams, to qualify you must have two of your drivers set 3 time trials each around the set tracks. The times are then combined and ranked – the top 10 times, per platform, will progress to the Online racing portion.

The online portion of the tournament will be stretched out across 9 weeks with a one race per week per platform format. The top 3 teams from each platform will be invited to attend a live final at a secret UK location (more details expected soon).
