We are going bananas with the announcement that All-Star Fruit Racing will be drifting its way over to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC this July.
The fruit-based kart racer (which is currently on Steam Early Access) stands out from the crowd of currant racers thanks to its amazingly detailed, colourful, and vibrant environments (akin to a cartoon), clearly, lots of passionfruit has gone into the title. Indeed, you'll race across the globe in a series of varied locales while you squash your opponents with various fruit-themed weapons including coconuts, cherries, and watermelons.
Take a look at the All-Star Fruit Racing console reveal trailer below.
The kart racer features a career mode complete with a series of championships where you'll battle with others to become the star fruit unlocking new characters, championships, and kart parts on fruit..err route sorry.
Using your melon in the Create Custom Championships feature, you can select between three difficulty settings and speeds, dive into a range of different game types including Dragster races, Hill Climbs, Elimination races, Time Attacks, and modifier-filled modes that raisin the stakes.
The list of tracks in All-Star Fruit Racing is very longan indeed with 21 on offer spread across five stunning worlds: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, and "Special Islands". You'll pea yourself with excitement as you speed up volcanoes, negotiate the twisting bodies of giant snakes, and swerve between giant, kart-crushing snowballs on some of the wildest racing tracks that pear stunning visuals with fast-paced action that you need to make a date with.
Spill your opponents' blood orange by unleashing fruit-based powerups with the Juicer power-up system (which sounds like a peach of an idea). It works by collecting different types of fruit as you race to fill up The Juicer's liquid tanks, then custom-combine your juice tanks' power to release a combo power-up. You can unleash a volley of different power-ups, or save all of your fruit power for a Mega-Juice attack, it's your choice so you'll need to have a good fig about it.
All-Star Fruit Racing allows for two, three, and four-player split-screen action. And the fruity racer enables you to race across the globe in eight-player online events which should help separate the honeyberries from the kumquats.
Finally, you'll unlock new parts as you play to help you redesign and rebuild your kart. You can even add a touch of colour too, so whether you opt for plum or orange, All-Star Fruit Racing has you covered. As a matter of fact, there are over 32,000 possible kart combinations in the pro seed-bearing kart racer that you can get your teeth into.
All-Star Fruit Racing is coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One in July 2018.
