Previews WRC 4 Preview Event

With WRC 4 now less than a month away from skidding onto consoles and PC, Alan jetted off to Milan to attend a preview event at Milestone for a more in-depth look at their latest rally sim.

After getting more than a little distracted by the city stunning scenery, we get to learn more details about the game courtesy of Game Director Sébastien Pellicano, where he discusses the various improvements we can expect to see including revamped physics, a redesigned career mode and new special stages.    

Elsewhere, a real life rally driver shows us how it's done on the treacherous Monte Carlo stage as he wrestles with a Thrustmaster T500 setup complete with H pattern gear shifter. It should be noted, though, that problems regarding compatibility with the T500 were cited – while the usually reliable Logitech G25 performed flawlessly, the T500 seemed to struggle, particularly in hairpin bends. Hopefully this will be rectified for the final release, but rest assured Alan will be testing WRC 4 on every possible setup.
