Game: Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo

Platform: PC, PS4, XBox One

Publisher: Milestone S.r.l

Release Date: 29/01/2016

Originally set for release this October, the release of Milestone's new rally IP Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO has now slipped to an undisclosed date in "early 2016."

“Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO is the biggest project ever made by Milestone since now. We’ve decided to postpone it to focus more on the title development. This release date change will offer to the players a rally simulation that represents a higher quality on the videogame experience,” Milestone's Luisa Bixio stated.

The news will no doubt be disappointing to eager rally fans, but we're fully supportive of delays if the result is a more polished product Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO is already looking like Milestone's best looking game to date since it's being developed exclusively for current-gen platforms, so it's not surprising to find that the developers need more time to polish it up.

Also, to say that recent Milestone games have been bug-ridden on launch (we're looking at you Ride, although so too has pretty much every other racing game launch this generation to be fair), so the extra development time will hopefully prevent this from reoccurring.

In fact, the delay will be to Milestone's disadvantage. When it comes to release dates, Milestone's games have a habit of colliding with the competition – in this case, the originally planned date would have put it in direct competition with WRC 5 and DiRT Rally, with the former also due for release this October. Win win situation.
