Project CARS 2 Fun Pack Expansion includes iconic Group B rally cars

Martin Bigg On November 30, 2017

Slightly Mad Studios has shared details of the first expansion pack for Project CARS 2. Aptly dubbed the Fun Pack Expansion, the first DLC pack adds eight new cars and two new tracks to the racing simulation, expanding an already substantial package of racing disciplines and circuits.

The new content predominately focuses on rallycross, including a historic version of the Brands Hatch Rallycross that hosted the British Rallycross Grand Prix in the '80s and '90s, as well as the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya Rallycross track which will host the opening round of the 2018 FIA World Rallycross Championship.

Rally fans will rejoice at the inclusion of some of the most iconic Group B cars from the era. Among the Group B beasts that you'll soon be able to tame in Project CARS 2  Matthias Ekstrom’s championship-winning Audi S1 EKS RX quattro, along with the legendary Ford RS200 Evolution and Renault R5 Maxi Turbo.  Petter Solberg’s Citroën DS3 RX Supercar also joins Project CARS 2's rallycross car roster

In addition, the Fun Pack Expansion adds three custom vehicles driven by renowned Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr., including his 1969 Ford Bronco, better known as “Brocky”, and two Mustangs including a 960-hp RTR Mustang and a vintage 1966 Mustang designed and tested by Vaughn and his RTR team.

The Project CARS 2 Fun Pack Expansion also includes six vehicle liveries from major eSports racing teams and four new invitational events. No price or release date has been announced yet, but Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Fun Pack Expansion will be available sometime this winter for PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will also be available as part of the Project CARS 2 season pass.

Slightly Mad Studios also recently released a Project CARS 2 demo that includes visual enhancements for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X previewing an upcoming patch update.
