News New car content for Gran Turismo Sport teased ahead of release next week

Another batch of cars for Gran Turismo Sport has been teased, ahead of the presumed release of a new content update for the PlayStation 4-exclusive racing game.

Much like prior content teasers, the selection of nine forthcoming vehicles for Gran Turismo Sport were first hinted at via a tweet by Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi.

Though not all of the cars featured in the above teaser image are clearly identifiable, the image does confirm a broad variety of vehicles will be coming to Gran Turismo Sport soon. For example, the iconic Fiat 500 economy car will be joined by an array of performance vehicles, ranging from the Renault Clio RS hot hatchback to the legendary Lamborghini Miura.

Also, the teaser image appears to suggest a range of Group C prototype racing cars will also make their way into Gran Turismo Sport before the end of the month. The likes of the Nissan R92CP and Jaguar XJR-9 look set to make their Gran Turismo franchise return in the upcoming May update, with the Sauber C9 being the more likely candidate for the third and final teased Group C car.

It's not yet known at time of writing whether additons outside of the hinted-at cars will be coming to Gran Turismo Sport next week. However, prior content updates for Gran Turismo Sport have often added new tracks and singleplayer race events to the game, on top of tweaks and amendments to the game.

More information on the teased content for Gran Turismo Sport will be revealed next week, likely shortly before the obligatory content update is officially released.
