Milestone's MXGP: The Official Motocross recently got a makeover on PS4, featuring new tracks and enhanced visuals among a host of other improvements. We've been busy getting our muddy mits on it, putting it through its paces and checking out some of the new content.

Our first gameplay takes you on a bumpy ride through the idyllic Italy – Arco di Trento circuit, one of four new tracks exclusive to the PS4 version that highlights some of the visual improvements – particularly with the lighting, which now gives the game a more realistic sheen thanks to the Yebis 2 engine also used in MotoGP '14

The revelation that MXGP has been locked to 30 frames per second on PS4 has certainly spurred a lot of debate among the ocmmunity, and while it is disappointing to find yet another next-gen game fail to achieve the magic 60fps for optimum smoothness and responsiveness, the upside to this is an increased number of on-track AI opponents from 16 to 22. It certainly it makes for some intense racing, but is it a worthy trade-off? Decide for yourself in the video below.
