On November 7 Microsoft will release the most powerful console ever: the Xbox One X.

Whether you like the name or not, you cannot deny that 6 terra flops of power is somewhat exciting, even when you factor in the £449.99 price tag.

The racing genre in particular could benefit greatly from the extra grunt that the Xbox One X has to offer, especially with regards to frame rate. Far too often we've had to settle for 30 frames per second (fps) on console racers, however this could very well change this November.

We recently attended the biggest gaming convention in the world to get a hands on with three racing titles running on Microsoft's upcoming behemoth of a console, and while we may not have been as blown away as we were hoping, seeing F1 2017's replay running at 60 fps (seen above) was a pleasure.

Sure you could argue that the Xbox One platform lacks games, but with the extra power of the X, surely it will be the console of choice for multi-platform releases. The extra immersion and fluidity of a racing game running at 60 fps vs 30 fps makes a world of difference. And with the power of the X, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect frame rates to double (along with prettier visuals), in theory at least.

Let us know in the comments if you are thinking about buying an Xbox One X and what you are expecting to see with all those extra flops.
