Gran Turismo's top man Kazunori Yamauchi recently conducted an interview with Japanese media GameWatch at this year's Taipei Game Show and shared some interesting tidbits of a two-wheeled nature.

tourist trophy game polyphonyVia GTPlanet, Yamauchi reveals that a sequel to the much-loved bike title Tourist Trophy is very much in the back of his mind. Hold your horses though, sadly Yamauchi has stated that there are currently no plans for a sequel to 2006's (yes it has been that long) Tourist Trophy.

Fret not though, Yamauchi has seemingly mentioned that bikes could well make it into Gran Turismo Sport in the future, so there's still hope for bike fans.

Tourist Trophy: The Real Racing Simulator was released on PlayStation 2 in June, 2006. Created from Gran Turismo 4's engine, the game featured over 120 bikes, more than 30 courses, and a substantial TT mode.

Let us know if you would like to see bikes in Gran Turismo Sport, or if you feel they don't belong in the latest offering from Polyphony.

On the subject of the Tourist Trophy, we are mere weeks away from the release of the officially licensed TT game TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge from Kylotonn Games. We caught up with Sebastien Waxin from Bigben Interactive at E3 2017 and discussed the upcoming two-wheeled racer with some exclusive preview footage for your viewing pleasure, see below.
