Indie developer Strangely Named's retro-inspired kart racer Bears Can't Drift!? has been released on the PlayStation 4 console and on the PC after a spell on Steam's Early Access programme.

Bear's Can't Drift!? split screen action gameplay multiplayer kart racing Bears Can't Drift!? has been predominately developed by just one man, Arran Langmead, who drew inspiration from kart racers from yesteryear such as Crash Team Racing, Diddy Kong Racing and of course the master of them all: Mario Kart.

Bears Can't Drift!? Brings its brand of colourful and fun classic kart racing action to the racing genre with a total of 12 tracks set across three hub worlds and contains three game modes: Single Race, Time Trial and a Checkpoint mode which is said to be a twist on the battle arena mode where you'll be racing back and forth between picnic baskets in a desperate fight for food.

Of course it wouldn't be a true retro inspired racer if it didn't have split screen action, and Bears Can't Drift!? Has it covered with its split screen local multiplayer mode where up to four players can jump in on the action. Another staple of kart racing games are powerups and this kart racer has four in total which cover front and rear attacking options along with the traditional boost and shield powerups.

Bears Can't Drift can be picked up right now on Steam and on the PlayStation Store for a modest £7.99.
