News Forza fan pays tribute to iconic racing games in Forza Horizon 3

Everyone has their favourite racing games series, from old-school arcade racers like OutRun, Burnout and Project Gotham, to serious simulations such as Assetto Corsa, Project CARS and iRacing. Sadly, many of these fabled franchises have since retired: we haven’t seen a new release from some of those aforementioned series at least a decade. So one passionate player decided to revive them in the ever-popular Forza Horizon 3. As community creations go, this might just be the best use of a racing game photo mode we’ve ever seen.
The inventive in-game shots taken by talented Imgur user EYuiS do a commendable job capturing the essence of each francise, with clever use of locations, liveries, filters, game logos and camera angles. The selection of screens also act as a nostalgic trip reminding you of some of the racing game greats that deserve a current-gen remake, from Burnout 3: Takedown and Need for Seed: Most Wanted to Driver. Clearly, these were created by a true racing game fanatic, which we can certainly relate with. If you needed proof that Forza Horizon 3 is an amalgamation of classic arcade racers, this is it.
