The latest downlodable content bundle for Forza Motorsport 5 – the Alpinestars Car Pack – is now available to purchase on the Xbox Games Store.

Named after the high-profile producer of motorsports apparel, the Alpinestars DLC (as with nearly every other pack released for FM5 to date) adds ten cars to the Xbox One-exclusive racing game, ranging from lithe low-power sports cars to some of the fastest road and racing cars on the planet.

The full list of cars included in the Alpinestars Car Pack can be found below:

  • 1965 Ford Mustang GT Coupe – The coupe version of the fastest selling road car of all time. Also quite a naff car (even by the standards of the Sixties!), but that should be fixed with a few in-game upgrades…
  • 1969 Ferrari 246 GT – Out of all the 'Dino' variants, this one's probably the most famous of them all. Also regarded by many to be one of the most beautiful and best-to-drive Ferraris ever built.
  • 1981 Volkswagen Scirocco S – Bad news: there's nothing particularly special about this Scirocco being an 'S' model. Good news: it's still an first-gen VW Scirocco, so you're gonna have a blast in it!
  • 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE – The most extreme version of the original Mazda RX-7, and cited by many at the time to be one of the finest sports cars of the Eighties. Suddenly, the aforementioned Scirocco doesn't sound as appealling as it once did…
  • 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio Verde – In layman's terms, the top-of-the-line version of this quintessential Italian roadster. Also amazing – given the Spider was launched in 1966 – that it took Alfa Romeo twenty years to slap the iconic cloverleaf badge onto its most famous sports car…
  • 1997 Mitsubishi GTO – As of March 5th 2014, the cheapest car available in Forza Motorsport 5 with the 'GTO' badge, as made famous by various Ferraris and Pontiacs. Not much else particularly noteworthy about Mitsubishi's FR sports car…
  • 1999 Toyota GT-One – The car that came oh-so-close to beating the BMW V12 LMR at that year's 24 Heures du Mans endurance race. Did at least set the-then fastest ever lap at Le Mans, if that's any conciliation to Toyota's motorsports division.
  • 2011 Radical SR8 – As quick as a Formula 3 single-seater around Silverstone, and unrivalled by any production car around the fearsome Nurburgring Nordschleife. Make no mistake, the Radical SR8 is not to be underestimated!
  • 2012 Ultima GTR720 – With a verified time of 1 minute 12.8 seconds, this Hinckley-built kit car is the unofficial lap record holder at the Top Gear Test Track. Imagine the outcry if the Ultima ends up being quicker around the TGTT than the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder…
  • 2013 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG – An E-Class executive saloon, with only 40 horsepowers less than the 615bhp E63 AMG that competes in the V8 Supercars series. Seems no-one at Mercedes got the memo about there no longer being a 'power war' between them, BMW and Audi…

The Alpinestars Car Pack is available to purchase from the Xbox Games Store for £7,99. Forza Motorsport 5 'Car Pass' holders will have immediate access to the ten cars in the bundle upon starting up FM5, and players can purchase cars individually should they not want to acquire the entire pack.
