News Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition includes stunning steelbook

With most major game releases comes the obligatory, overpriced Collectors Edition. And with that comes the obligatory steelbook.
Racing game steelbooks are becoming increasingly common – we've had a DriveClub steelbook and a Project CARS steelbook. There's also going to be a Gran Turismo Sport steelbook this year. So it comes as no surprise that Forza Horizon 3 is the latest racing game to be sold with optional swanky steelbook packaging.
Playground Games recently revealed the artwork for the Forza Horizon 3 steelbook, and as steelbooks go it's pretty stylish, featuring the Lamborghini Centenario cover car star in a gorgeous gold finish.
The design is certainly a big step up from previous Forza steelbooks – the simple logo designs of the Forza Motorsport 4, 5 and Horizon steelbooks were unimaginative to say the least.
Less attractive is the hefty price tag – it's currently available to preorder exclusively at GAME for a whopping £79.99. Still, as a preorder bonus not only do you get an obligatory downloadable car (in this case a Ferrari 488 GTB), but an actual, physical Lamborghini Centenario 1:43 scale model.
The Forza Horizon 3 steelbook is part of the Ultimate Edition, which includes the following content:
• The full game of Forza Horizon 3 (disc)
• Limited Edition Forza Horizon Steel Tin
• Forza Horizon 3 VIP Membership
Due for release on September 27th, Forza Horizon 3 is the latest Forza entry from Playground Games which takes the franchise to Australia featuring an open world twice the size of Forza Horizon 2 with more diverse terrain than ever before. With 350 cars, Forza Horizon 3 also features the largest car roster in an open world racing game by some margin (The Crew has just over 50 by comparison).
