News First Forza Horizon gameplay trailer confirms release date

The wait is over! As promised, Forza Horizon received its first proper showing during today's Microsoft Xbox 360 E3 conference, delivering an action packed trailer that showcased the first in-game footage.
An assortment of licensed cars were shown throughout, including a classic Audi Quattro, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 10 and Mazda RX7 tearing through open roads, weaving through traffic (which appear to be licensed as we spotted a Chysler PT Cruiser and Ford Taurus among others) and even jumping over off-road hills.
An emphasis was placed on a MotorStorm-style festival atmosphere and the dynamic day and night cycles were also shown, along with a glimpse of the damage modelling as a car flips over.
We can also see a brief glimpse of the other race modes that were previously outed by Forza Life – look closely, and you can see an 8C Competizione racing against a helicopter and an SRT Viper racing a plane.
The trailer also reaffirms that Forza Horizon will be released October 23rd.
