F1 2010 vs F1 2011 vs F1 2014 vs F1 2015 comparison

Kevin Dooley On July 8, 2015

To follow up on our recent F1 2011 vs F1 2015 video, we decide to go one step further and put four iterations of Codemasters' F1 titles side by side for comparison purposes and for a little fun too.

We have F1 2010 running at the top left for the Xbox 360, F1 2011 at the top right also for the Xbox 360, the bottom left is last year's F1 2014 for the Playstation 3 and of course F1 2015 running on the Playstation 4 completes the foursome in the bottom right video.

We are on-board the Mercedes at Singapore in the rain in all four videos. The purpose of the video is to showcase the progression of the graphical quality of the F1 titles in recent years. It's interesting to note all of the different effects that vary from each title, for example F1 2010 really obscures your point substantially when behind another car and in F1 2011 the rain is seen coming directly towards you and yet oddly there's very little water droplets on the screen when compared to the three other titles.

F1 2015 really looks its best here, the game really showcases the new reflections and lighting superbly at Singapore thanks to the night setting. It's fair to say each game shown here has a different approach to capture night racing in wet weather conditions, which effects do you like from the four titles?, if you could mix and match the effects from all four games to make the ultimate F1 title which would you use from each title?
