Project CARS 2 will contain an assortment of Indianapolis-related content – ranging from the iconic 'Brickyard' circuit to a slew of current and classic Indy 500 racers.
As stated on the official Project CARS website, players will be able to race on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in "the current crop of Dallara DW12s [from the Verizon IndyCar Series]".
It's also likely the Indy 500-specific rulset and simulation features as mentioned when the iconic race event was first announced for the original Project CARS will be present in Project CARS 2.
On top of the contemporary content, it's also been confirmed that three classic Indianapolis racers will be present in Project CARS 2 – including the Lotus 34 the legendary Jim Clark secured his first and only Indy 500 victory in.
The two additional vehicles are the 'Ol' Calhoun' Watson roadster that Parnelli Jones controversially won the 1963 Indy 500 in, and the Lotus 56 turbine car as driven by Joe Leonard at the 1968 Indy 500.
More information on Project CARS 2's IndyCar content will likely be revealed closer to the title's official launch later this year.
