News Audi’s Vision Gran Turismo concept car teased; coming to GT Sport on 9th April

The first teaser image for Audi's Vision Gran Turismo concept car has been released, ahead of the car's official unveiling within the next few weeks.
Seemingly developed at least in association with Audi's performance car and motorsports division, Audi Sport, the new Vision Gran Turismo will be introduced to Gran Turismo Sport on 9th April 2018.
Bar the e-tron branding (which confirms either a hybrid or fully electric powertrain for the car), little else is known about the Audi VGT. Additional details on the car can potentially be gleaned from the teaser, thoughw: for example, the profile silhouette heavily suggests the car is derived somewhat from the R8 supercar. The wheel design also suggests the Vision Gran Turismo will pay homage to the legendary Audi 90 IMSA GTO racing car from the late 1980s.
More details on the upcoming Audi Vision Gran Turismo are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks, in the build-up to the vehicle's official Gran Turismo Sport launch next month.
