The team-based Pro Draft part of this year's F1 Esports Series will commence next month, during the build-up to and after the real-world British Grand Prix

Following on from the four online qualifying rounds earlier in the year, the F1 Esports Series' Pro Draft will now whittle down the 40 qualifiers into the line-up that will contest the Pro Series' forthcoming three live races.

In order to be selected to compete in the live rounds, the 40 qualifiers will need to participate in "a series of tests, assessments and interviews with the teams to demonstrate why they should be selected".

This process will be conducted at the Silverstone Circuit, ahead of real-world British Grand Prix race on Sunday 8th July, and will be broadcasted live on television and Facebook.

Only after these trials are completed, will the teams select their driver line-ups during the Pro Draft. The aforementioned teams will consist of nine of the 10 real-world Formula One teams – with Scuderia Ferrari being the only outfit that won't participate in the competition.

The F1 Esports Series Pro Draft phase will culminate on 9th July 2018, when the nine teams announce their driver linups at the Gfinity Esports Arena in southwest London.
