Game: DiRT Rally 2.0

Platform: PC, PS4, XBox One

Publisher: Codemasters

Release Date: 26/02/2019

In news that will not surprise many, it has been confirmed that DiRT Rally 2.0 will not feature “Gamer” handling as found in DiRT 4.

DiRT 4 tried its best to accommodate players of all skill levels by introducing two handling modes – Gamer and Simulation. In theory, this sounds like an amazing idea, sadly its execution was poor: the simulation setting did not come close to the authenticity found in DiRT Rally before it leaving many fans frustrated.

Without trying to appeal to a larger market, DiRT Rally 2.0 is looking very much like a game for the purists out there and a true successor to the original released in late 2015. With the likes of Jon Armstrong onboard, it’s not unreasonable to believe that DiRT Rally 2.0’s vehicle handling will further improve in fact.

Let us know if not having a “Gamer” handling mode will affect your interest in DiRT Rally 2.0 and whether you found the original to be too difficult.

Recently, Codemasters confirmed that DiRT Rally 2.0 will not support VR at launch. However, should there be “enormous demand” it could be something they include in a future update.

DiRT Rally 2.0 is scheduled to release on February 26, 2019, across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

Hi. Admittedly I was one of DiRT 4s biggest critics. After less than a month I found the differences between DiRT and 4 so huge that I had uninstalled it from my PS4 and abandoned it. It was not all bad and I hope that some of my positive opinions filtered through the howing objections. The graphics were extremely good across the board. The controlled exits up to the marshall at each stage I liked and some of the customisation and mechanical options I felt added to the game. I am hoping that you are looking to complement the no… Read more »
