News WRC 5 Finland night racing gameplay

We check out a night stage in Finland in our latest WRC 5 gameplay video.

We opt for the chase cam this time around and we are driving the Citroen DS3 WRC car. The first thing you'll probably notice is just how dark it actually gets which really amps up the challenge.

Couple these very dark conditions with some extremely sharp turns and you have on your hands a very tricky proposition indeed. We had to use the handbrake an awful lot on this stage just to get the car's front end turned in to the bends and to keep it on the track.

We notice that night time stages tend to have their ground texture quality turned down which is actually very noticeable and looks pretty poor for this day and age, we guess that this is due to technical reasons as the game does tend to struggle with frame rate drops.
