Toyota has been announced as the latest manufacturer to join Kunos Simulazioni's Assetto Corsa, with four road cars and two racecars joining the ever-expanding roster:
ROAD
Toyota GT-86
Toyota CELICA
RACE
Toyota TS040 Hybrid
This licensing agreement marks the second Japanese manufacturer to join Assetto Corsa following the announcement of Nissan earlier this year.
The Toyota TS040 Hybrid also marks the first Le Mans endurance prototype racecar to be included in Assetto Corsa, with more to follow in this class. Assetto Corsa's car roster has consisted primarily of roadcars so far, so it's good to see some race-spec machinery add to the variety.
The team got a chance to test some of these models at the Nordschleife and Vallelunga circuits, which is where the Kunos Simulazioni headquaters is based, so you can be assured that each car will be lovingly reproduced in Assetto Corsa with astute accuracy and attention to detail.
