Publisher: Milestone S.r.l

Release Date: 29/01/2016

The third and final developer diary for Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo has landed, delving deep into the technical aspects of Milestone's new rally IP. And yes, the terrible English dubbed voiceover returns with a vengence. If technical jargon such as "shader system" and "particle effects" excites the nerd inside you, this is the video for you.

The developer diary covers similar ground before in demonstrating Rally Evo's visual fidelity, but it's an interesting insight nonetheless that shows how Milestone are upping their game with the development of their proprietary graphics engine, as we see new behind the scenes development footage showcasing the new impressive-looking lighting engine, as well as an early look at the detailed stages and car models.

It also briefly touches on the physics, reiterating that we can expect Rally Evo to continue Milestone's focus developing simulation-based titles. Also showcased in the video is a small showcase of the tire deformation, which looks particularly promising.

Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo is set to slide onto PS4. Xbox One and PC later this year where it will go head-to-head against WRC 5. TO us, Rally Evo is already looking like the winner – Milestone are veterans of the rally genre, and it's hard to imagine WRC 5 being able to compete with over 50 classic rally cars, rallycross events and Pikes Peak
