Traditionally, Forza games are released around September with Turn10 and Playground Games alternating developer duties. 2014 saw the release of Playground Games' rather fetching Forza Horizon 2. The following year Turn10 released Forza Motorsport 6. So, want to guess what this year's Forza game will be?
Indeed, everyone is already assuming a third Forza Horizon game from Playground Games will be racing onto Xbox One later this year, and adding fuel to the fire is an apparent leak of a mysterious Forza Horizon 3 trailer. Could this be our first glimpse of Playground Games' next open world racer?
Now before you get too excited, it's yet to be confirmed if the leak is legit. Don't expect to see very much footage, either: the two second clip shows a tantalysingly small snippet of off-screen footage apparently taken from a longer trailer, showing a red supercar driving into the distance as the Forza Horizon 3 logo fades into view.

The footage was originally uploaded to DailyMotion by user jonnil-g. No other videos can be found on their channel.
Whether the footage is legit is up for debate, but it could have been an internal leak. The sunny scenery and open country roads are certainly fitting for a Forza Horizon game – previous rumours for Forza Horizon 2 pointed to settings in Australia and California, so these could still be possible locations for Forza Horizon 3. Looking at the scenery and road markings shown in the video, the Australian Outback looks to be a possible match.
Playground Games have already said they are "working on top secret stuff" on their Twitter page, so if this turns out to be Forza Horizon 3 expect a full reveal in the run up to E3 2016 in June. Just the mere hint that Forza Horizon 3 exists is already getting us excited.
