Studio 397, who recently took over rFactor 2 duties from Image Space Inc., has released their first piece of content for rFactor 2.
The content in question is the 2016 Cooper Tires USF2000 open wheeler car which provides a great entry level experience into the world of open wheeled motorsport. Indeed you can really take the USF2000 by the scruff of its neck thanks to its accessible nature.
The 2016 spec USF2000 uses a Van Diemen/Elan DP08 chassis and is powered by Mazda’s MZR 2 liter, 4 cylinder DOHC engine with fuel-injectors, tuned by Elite Engines to provide 170 hp which will enable a top speed of around the 150mph mark.
The car is available in two classes: the Championship class with a 5 speed sequential gearbox, and the lower National class with two transmission options: 5 speed (same as the Championship class, but with a 50 lb weight penalty, and an older, 4 speed H-shifter variant available with three different final ratios.
