Indie developer Playrise Digital has today announced that their miniature car racer Table Top Racing: World Tour will come to the Xbox One on March 10 and will be priced at £11.99.
We’ve known for some time that Playrise Digital were interested in bringing their Micro-Machines-esque racer to Microsoft’s console however it suffered a rather large delay. On the plus side, Xbox One owners will benefit from two major differences from earlier releases on the PC and PlayStation 4 as outlined below.
1. Playrise have rolled all the content released to date into one awesome value bundle. On previous platforms, players could only host and play multi-player games with other users that had the same DLC packs. Multiplayer ‘fragmentation’ will not be an issue for Xbox One gamers.
2. Playrise have added voice-com support in multiplayer races and lobbies – how better to celebrate a crushing victory than to taunt a rival with a good bit of banter?!
So there you have it, the Xbox One version will include all DLC and a voice chat feature where you can scream profanities at your rivals should you wish (don’t be that person). We were so impressed with Table Top Racing: World Tour last year that it won our indie game of the year title beating out competition from the likes of Redout, Riptide GP: Renegade and Mantis Burn Racing.
Table Top Racing: World Tour on the Xbox One will feature over 120 events (with a total of 9 different events) which take place on 32 tracks set across 8 environments. The miniature combat racer includes 16 incredibly detailed and varied vehicles each with their own unique handling and are all upgradable.
Furthermore, the title has 8 powerups, 6 wheel weapons, 8 PvP online multiplayer and a Breakbeat soundtrack from @ItsWesSmithYo. You can check out some Table Top Racing: World Tour action on the PlayStation 4 below.
