News Snow track spotted in Project CARS

The development of Project CARS has come on in leaps and bounds, showing significant progress since its inception just over a year ago. Now officially on track for a late 2013 release after developer Slightly Mad Studios successfully secured its target community funding, it's surely only a matter of time before we start to learn more of its developments as additional cars, tracks and community screenshots begin to surface in the run-up to the final release.

Despite being over a year away, Project CARS has already garnered quite a reputation for its stunningly detailed visuals that will surely become the graphical benchmark for PC driving games – at least for those that have the hefty hardware to run the demanding system requirements.

This was never more true when you added the inclusion of mother nature, as the realistic rain effects look simply awe-inspiring, even at this early stage. And now, it seems Project CARS could be scheduled for some snow.

The news comes from the official Project CARS Facebook page after a new intriguing photo gallery was been added revealing an unnamed snow-covered track.

Revealed as a teaser by Slightly Mad Studios upon reaching their funding budget, little else is known other than the fact that the track will be point-to-point. It looks like terrific fun, though, offering a diverse mix of wide mountain passes, long open bridges and stunning scenic views to marvel at whilst driving at ludicrous speed in an open-top Caterham.
