A short while ago, we reported on the announcement that HRT had been put up for sale by its current owners, Thesan Capital.

Now, though, the talk of the paddock seems to suggest that this weekend's race at Sao Paulo might be the last one for the ailing Spanish racing outfit.

According to reports, staff members at HRT's HQ have revealed that they've recieved pending redundancy notifications, which are said to come into effect by the time the cheqeured flag flutters in Brazil.

Whether or not such reports are correct – when asked by the press about the redundancy papers, Pedro de la Rosa declared that the team's employees "havent recieved anything" – it's blatantly obvious that times are incredibly tough for HRT.

Not only is the outfit destined to finish last in the Constructors' Championship this year, but it also has to secure the funding needed to enrol for the 2013 season, with the payment deadline being November 30th.

There also haven't been any reports on the discussions with potential new owners since it was declared that Thesan was willing to let another enterprise take control of the team.

All in all, the next few days are going to be crucial in deciding HRT's future in Formula One, and we'll be reporting on what that future will be as soon as we know for certain.
