Kevin Dooley On June 19, 2017

Following the announcement that Rocket League will be heading to the Nintendo Switch, developer Psyonix has revealed that the vehicular football title will run at 60 frames per second but only at 720p resolution both docked and undocked on the Nintendo hardware.

The Switch version currently has a “holiday 2017” release window and will include some exclusive items such as the Mario and Luigi hat toppers and “exclusive battle-cars”.

Psyonix has confirmed that the Switch version will have a cross-play feature included which will allow Nintendo gamers to play both with and against PC and Xbox One players. The Switch version will also benefit from all of the play modes including TV mode, Tabletop mode and Handheld mode and both online (for up to 8 players) and local multiplayer will be included.

Rocket League will also see an update for the forthcoming Xbox One X where it is said to run at 4K resolution.
