Rocket League developer Psyonix have recently announced they have big plans for the future of their recently released car-soccer title Rocket League.

Psyonix say they intend to support the fast-paced car-soccer game not only for weeks and months but also for years if all goes well according to Psyonix's community and marketing director Jeremy Dunham.

You won't have to wait long either for some new content as the dev team are currently putting the finishing touches on their first paid DLC add-on pack called “Supersonic Fury” This new DLC will add two new cars along with “several more surprises later this month”.

The “Supersonic Fury” add-on is not the only new content that will be available this month either as Psyonix will also release their first DLC map sometime before the end of July. The new map is said to be inspired by the classic “Utopia” map from their previous title Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars. Psyonix adds that, as with all future maps, it will be available to everyone 100% free of charge.

It's refreshing to hear a developer that is focusing on supporting their title long-term and it will be exciting to see what Psyonix have planned for the future. No doubt we'll get to see a lot more crossover vehicles in Rocket League that come from other Sony owned titles.
