Ridge Racer: Slipstream slid onto iOS today to celebrate the veteran arcade racing series twentieth birthday. Eager to see if it can make up for the travesty that was the Ridge Racer Vita game and the misdirected Ridge Racer: Unbounded, I loaded up the Google Play Store in search for it, but to no avail. Puzzling, since the initial announcement earmarked today as the release for iOS and Android.
Unfortunately, as is the case for the majority of mobile releases it seems, Android users will have to wait a bit longer, as Namco Bandai has confirmed that Ridge Racer Slipstream won't be parking onto the Google Play Store until "early 2014."
A new trailer showcasing a plethora of cars sliding around brightly coloured racetracks has also been released to commemorate the release. And presumably to make deprived Android users envious of the neighboring mobile platform.

I was hoping to provide some feedback on the game, but obviously can't until next year as an Android user. If you've already downloaded Ridge Racer: Slipstream on iOS, though, do let us know your thoughts on the game in the comments below, on our FaceBook page or on our forum.
