News Ride 2: Putting the Yamaha R1 through its paces at the Nurburgring

The Nurburgring Nordschleife, or “The Green Hell” as Jackie Stewart famously referred to it as, is one of only a handful of race tracks currently existing that is rich in history and has an almost magical presence.
As soon as we heard the iconic track would make It in to Ride 2 we knew we had to get on it almost immediately with a bike that would do it some justice. Enter the Yamaha R1, a high-powered road bike that is more than a handful. Indeed you need to be very delicate with the throttle if you want to stay on the bike.
Needless to say, the experience was very tense and exciting and we jostle with other riders for higher positions. You can find out what happened during the racer in the video below.
