News Project CARS may skip the Wii U and launch on Nintendo’s ‘NX’ console

All of us have been playing Project CARS for a little while now, well that is all of us except Nintendo Wii U owners. We've had a very general release date of 'sometime in 2015' for the Wii U for a while now which perhaps was a clue to Slightly Mad Studios' struggles behind the scenes when developing the game for Nintendo's console.

After many months of silence, Ian Bell, head of Slightly Mad Studios, has opened up to fans (via the official forums) on the status of the Wii U version. Bell wrote:

Ok I'll come clean. At the moment we're running at about 23FPS on the WiiU.

With that comment it becomes very apparent that the studio are really struggling with development on the Wii U, which was said to run at 720p resolution. So much are the struggles in fact that Ian Bell is strongly considering skipping the Wii U altogether in order to launch Project CARS for Nintendo's next console called the 'NX'. This all depends on when the NX will launch ofcourse. Bell wrote:

Honestly, unless we really cut the looks back I think we're looking to Nintendo's next console.

I suppose if they don't announce something at E3 or soon after we will have a go at it.

What are your thoughts on the matter, would you release the game for the Wii U under these circumstances?
