Ahead of its much anticipated release on May 8th, Slightly Mad Studios has revealed the complete track list for Project CARS, confirming that you'll be racing around over 110 tracks across 30 different locations. According to Slightly Mad Studios, it's the largest roster of race locations to be compiled in a recent racing game, although I'd say it's probably the largest selection of locations since Gran Turismo 6 which had 33.

Eight new locations have also been confirmed in the final list, while fan favourites such as the Nurburgring Nordschleife , Summerton, Willow Springs, Spa, Hockenheimring and Monza are all available. It's safe to say that racing game veterans should be satisfied: I'm particularly pleased to see underused UK locations such as Oulton Park and Snetterton make the cut along with commonly used circuits such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch. You can read the full track list on the official Project CARS website here

Project CARS has also now now officially gone gold, meaning that the game is classified as finished and discs are being put into production. In other words, there's little to no chance the penned May 8th release date will slip again after numerous delays – that's three weeks from today.

"After months of intense work on what will certainly be the ultimate racing experience, we're extremely happy to confirm that Project CARS has now gone gold and will be releasing starting May 7th.", said Ian Bell, Head of Studio at Slightly Mad Studios. "We know the wait of the game has been long but we're confident the quality and realism level we have achieved will provide our fans with the game they have all been expecting and we look forward to seeing you on the track."
