News Old school inspired Mega Drift slides onto iOS devices

From the publisher that gave us Angry Birds comes a mobile racing game that centers around the art of getting sideways. Mega Drift has a simple control system – there's just one button you need to concern yourself with: the drift button. Simply tap and hold the button to start drifting, and that's all there is to it.

Okay, that's not quite the case: there is a matter of having to tilt your iOS device in order to dodge the odd obstacle that the game will occasionally throw at you. Take a look at the gameplay trailer below to see what the game is all about.

The one-button racer will see you drifting through abandoned mine towns, forests and jungle ruins as you tackle the game's plethora of missions. Mega Drift doesn't skimp on vehicles either: you'll have a choice between many different types including a muscle car, a truck, and a bigfoot, naturally.

The easy to pick-up-and-play nature of the game makes it perfect for when you have a spare few minutes while you wait in a queue or when you find yourself bored sitting on the toilet. Mega Drift released for iOS devices on April 16, and came about from the partnership of Chillingo and Blackbeard Games.
