Off-road racer GRAVEL confirmed for early 2018 launch

We've known about Milestone's off-road arcade racer GRAVEL for some time now. The title was initially due to release this summer, however as all mentions of a summer release disappeared, it became clear the game had suffered a delay.

Fret not however, as developer Milestone has now confirmed (via the PlayStation blog) that GRAVEL will release in early 2018. To accompany the announcement, Milestone has released a developer diary video which gives us an insight into the development of the title using the Unreal Engine 4.

The new engine enables Milestone to create larger and more richly detailed environments than found in their previous games. Landscapes can be moulded easily using the Unreal Engine 4 and road surface types can effectively be “painted on” by the artist.
