Our hands-on gameplay video coverage of Need for Speed: Rivals continues in part 2, as Alan explores some of the events you can play as the in-game police. Except of course this is Need for Speed, so you won't be seeing Vauxhall Astra police cars patrolling Redview County. Alan's car of choice was the all-new Aston Martin Vanquish pursuit special - you know you've had it when you see one of these in your rear view mirror. If only the police force here in Britain were this well equipped.
In this video, Alan takes part in an online response event before engaging in a Hot Pursuit for a classic, adrenaline-filled Need for Speed cop vs. racers chase experience, taking down crims while admiring the lavish scenery powered by Frostbite 3.
Alan wasn't the biggest fan of last year's Need for Speed: Most Wanted to say the least, but Need for Speed: Rivals seems to have won him over. From my point of view, it's certainly looking like a return to form for the misguided series, with developer EA Ghost mashing together all the best components of previous fan favourites such as Hot Pursuit and Underground before it went off course.
Interesting there's no mention of any classic car content, given that it was such a major selling point of F1 2013.
Yes the power gulf between PC and consoles has expanded to a point that the PC is already a next-gen system.
Of course a much better TT bike racing experience than Tourist Trophy by most likely much better than Jester and Grand Tourismo 7 already exists. The TT Isle of Man Moutain course add-0n for the gp500 pc game.
Aracde physics? I'd rather play something better myself..
Yes, F1 2015 will be on PC. Codemasters announced it on their Facebook page.
Hopefully the "Next Gen" F1 2015 game will also be on PC and not just a console exclusive! Great news that they're releasing new games earlier in the season now!
