News Multiplayer trailer for Need for Speed Most Wanted next week

It's safe to say that we're hotly anticipating the launch of Need for Speed Most Wanted, Criterion's sophomore stint with the Need for Speed license, but it's the multiplayer component that particularly has the potential to make this a must-have title thanks in no small part to the incredibly advanced Autolog 2.0.

A new destructive multiplayer trailer has only raised our anticipation levels – except it's not actually a trailer, as such. More a trailer for a trailer. 

You'll sadly have to wait until next week on August 14th for the trailer's full reveal during EA's annual Gamescom conference, but despite the criminally brief running time we couldn't help but spot a few previously unseen cars to add to Need for Speed Most Wanted's rousing roster.

Of particular note is the electrifying Tesla Roadster which makes its Need for Speed debut in Most Wanted, but we also spotted a Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible, Caterham Superlight R500, Lamborghini Countach, Shelby Cobra and, last but not least, a Porsche 918 Spyder, a car that's notable for not only being bound to the Need for Speed franchise (it was curiously shunned from the Forza Motorsport 4 Porsche pack) but for also sporting the iconic Martini Racing livery when the road version goes on sale next year.

Need for Speed Most Wanted will be careening into shops November 1st in Europe, but we're expecting to learn more about the multiplayer component at the very least during next week's Gamescom conference. As always, more soon!
