Release Date: 10/11/2017

More information on Need for Speed Payback's customisation feature has been disclosed during Electronic Arts' E3 post-press conference livestream.

As stated by Ghost Games' Vehicle Art Director, Bryn Alban, Need for Speed Payback will retain all the existing brands and parts from the 2015 Need for Speed reboot.

It was also revealed that some vehicles with limited real-world after-market parts support (such as the classic Volkswagen Beetle) will be available with an array of modifications designed by Ghost Games. It's unknown at time of writing, however, whether every car in Need for Speed Payback can be fitted with these fictional parts.

The derelict cars that players can find in Need for Speed Payback's open world environment of Fortune Valley appear to have access to the largest array of modifications. On top of the option of applying brand new replacement parts, the derelict cars will also be the only vehicles in games that can be upgraded to a 'Super Build' pre-set specifications – with the four currently confirmed Super Build pre-sets being 'Drift', 'Drag', 'Race' and 'Off-Road'.

More information on Need for Speed Payback is expected to be revealed over the course of the E3 expo. We'll also shortly have hands-on impressions of Need for Speed Payback from the E3 show floor on the Team VVV website and our YouTube channel.
