Game: Gran Turismo 6
Platform: PS3
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Release Date: 05/12/2013
Gran Turismo 6's latest patch has been released, adding more features and game modes to the already content-rich PlayStation 3 racing game.
Perhaps the star of the 'V1.16' title update is the HD remake of Mid-Field Raceway,a fan-favourite fictional circuit that had previously not been seen in a Gran Turismo game since Gran Turismo 4 on the PlayStation 2.
Also returning to the Gran Turismo franchise in GT6 V1.16 is B-Spec, a mode where players can manage their own AI racing driver to complete events in the game's single-player career mode.
The new B-Spec in Gran Turismo 6 also differs from its incarnation in Gran Turismo 5: along with managing commands for the driver's pace, players can also order the driver to use the car in front's slipstream to pull off an overtaking move, as well be able to manually control the throttle and braking of the AI driver representing them in the race.
Rounding off the major content additions in this patch is the in-game launch of Mini's Clubman Vision Gran Turismo concept car, an all-wheel drive Mini hatchback design study that harkens back to the company's successes in motorsports, along with exhibiting the 'go-kart handling' qualities that have defined Mini's past and present road cars.
