Release Date: 07/10/2014

Of all the requested missing manufacturers in DriveClub, Lamborghini has to be near the top. After-all, leaving out Lamborghini in a game designed to showcase some of the world's most exotic supercars seemed criminal when the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin and McLaren were all represented. Mercifully, the Lambo-shaped void is about to be filled, as Lamborghini is coming to DriveClub this month in a big way.

Indeed, DriveClub's March update will be all-Lamborghini, with the release of a four car expansion adding the Lamborghini Veneno, Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario, Huracán LP 610-4 and Gallardo LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. Yes, this means Forza Horizon 2 can no longer brag that it's the only racing game to feature the Huracán.

No sign of the iconic Countach sadly, but, as is the case with the majority of DriveClub's car list, the focus appears to be on the manufacutrer's more recent models. But never say never: we've started to see older Ferraris in some of the recent DLC packs, so we could see the Countach later down the line. '80s themed expansion, anyone?

You can see them all in action in this exquisitely edited trailer. Our advise: crank up the volume to 11. Your ears will thank you for those earth-shattering engine notes, even if your neighbours won't.

As for this month's free car, Evolution haven't announced what they have in-store for us just yet, but Game Director Paul Rustchynsky did confirm it will be a new manufacturer in-line with the free cars relesaed thus far which have been obscure, to say the least unless you have an encyclopedic knowledge of cars.

But that's not all DriveClub fans have to look forward to this month. As has become routine, a game update will also be released in March adding a host of new features – including the long-awaited addition of replays, as confirmed by Game Director Paul Rustchynsky on Twitter. Expect to see some traditional TeamVVV multi-cam videos to follow suit.

In truth, the announcement of Lamborghini in DriveClub hasn't come as a huge surprise – we've known it would feature at some point since the Aventador was spotted in one of the graphic designer's online showreels over a year ago. It also confirmed Ferrari's involvement with DriveClub, which hadn't been announced at that point.

DriveClub has been going from strength to strength lately. At launch, it was known as the game that wouldn't start. Now it's the game that keeps on giving.
