The Japanese car manufacturer Infiniti has fully revealed its contribution to Gran Turismo 6's ever-expanding Vision Gran Turismo portfolio.

Simply dubbed the CONCEPT Vision Gran Turismo, this one-off design study is the work of the lead automotive stylist at Infiniti's recently-opened design studio in Beijing.

Being inspired by motorsports (the designer even has ambitions of seeing this Vision Gran Turismo become a real-life racing car), the CONCEPT Vision Gran Turismo is heavily aimed at life on the circuit, with its huge rear spoiler and prominent diffuser all giving the car high levels of downforce.

Providing drive for the car is a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, where an electric motor on the rear axle provides extra low-down boost for the high-revving 4.5 litre V8 combustion engine. What makes this layout different from other Vision Gran Turismos is the fact the engine itself is naturally aspirated: not counting the laser-powered Chaparral 2X, the Infiniti is the first VGT to be devoid of any turbochargers.

As with nearly every Vision Gran Turismo car in Gran Turismo 6, the Infiniti doesn't feature a fully rendered cockpit. However, as the full size mock-up of the CONCEPT Vision Gran Turismo does feature interior trim, it's possible the car's cabin will be added in a future update.

Players can acquire the INFINITI CONCEPT Vision Gran Turismo in-game through the 'Vision Gran Turismo' sub-menu using in-game currency, or as a free gift for completing a lap in the car's commemorative Seasonal Event time trial challenge.
