Release Date: 17/10/2017

GT Sport was present at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed event which gave lucky attendees the chance to sample the very latest build from Polyphony Digital.

One such attendee "aderrrm3" captured some gameplay showing a pit stop in action, which actually confirms the existence of mechanical damage. Upon entering the pits you will trigger a somewhat awkward looking animated pit sequence (see below).

Once you've decided on tyre choice, you are given the option to repair “Engine”, “Suspension” and “Aero”, a fourth “Do Not Repair” option is also available. This all but confirms the existence of mechanical damage which is fantastic news and should help massively to improve the realism of GT Sport which currently doesn't punish players for crashing into others and exploiting track barriers and whatnot.

Gran Turismo Sport is currently scheduled for an Autumn 2017 release, we'll have more on the title shortly.
