Ahead of its full reveal at this year's E3 show, screenshots and details have leaked for Turn10's Forza Motorsport 6.

Spotted in a post the official Japan Xbox website which has since been taken down, the screenshots confirm that weather effects (including 3D puddles) and night racing, two of the most frequently-requested features for Forza, will feature in Forza Motorsport 6, which isn't surprising given their inclusion in Forza Horizon 2.

The screenshots provide us with a sighting of the first confirmed cars in Forza Motorsport 6, including the Ferrari 458 Speciale, McLaren MP4-12C GT3, BMW Z4 GT3, Koenigsegg Agera, Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo and of course the already-confirmed new Ford GT. Note the focus on GT racing cars, which hints that we could see a more diverse range of racing classes in response to Project CARS.

Its listing also confirms we can expect over 450 cars in Forza Motorsport 6, 26 locations including Daytona, Rio and the "breathtaking graphics" engine that has become a staple of the series, which will again run at 60fps.

Forza Motorsport 6 will also feature two player split screen racing according to the site, as well as 24-player races and the return of Drivatars first introduced in Forza Motorsport 5.

Forza Motorsport 6 was first announced back in January this year in conjunction with the unveil of the new Ford GT, which will feature in the game and grace Forza Motorsport 6's cover art. It will be released this winter.

More will be revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference on June 15th, where we will likely see the very first gameplay glimpse of this year's most hotly anticipated racing game.

I think we were all expecting to see more cars in Forza Motorsport 6 after Forza Motorsport 5's relatively paltry car count, so if the sixth installment does feature over 450 cars then it's certainly a step in the right direction. It may still fall short of Forza Motorsport 4, but don't forget these cars take a lot longer to model with all the extra detail the current-gen systems can allow. If true, it's still the largest car roster in a current-gen game to date – at least until we see what Gran Turismo 7 brings.

What are you hoping to see from Forza Motorsport 6?
