Forza Motorsport 6 was undoubtedly one of the highlights at Microsoft's E3 conference, and indeed E3's racing game line-up, looking every bit as stunning as you'd expect from a first party game.

While the E3 2015 trailer for Microsoft's flagship racer dazzled us with its new weather effects and gratuitous glances at the Ford GT, it was an all-too brief showcase – we were disappointed not to be treated to any gameplay stage demonstrations for a better idea of what it's like to actually play.

Fear not however, as a Forza Motorsport 6 playable demo was lurking on the showfloor for us to gaze at. So we did the noble thing and got someone to sneak in and shoot some on the fly gameplay footage of Forza Motorsport 6 in action.

Running on a triple screen setup complete with motion rig in a 24 car race around the new Rio de Janeiro street circuit, our anonymous driver gets to grips with Forza 6's cover car star, the all-new feisty Ford GT, which proves to be handful.

Visually, Forza Motorsport 6 continues to impress as Turn10 strive to squeeze every last drop of juice from the Xbox One hardware. Running in 1080p and 60fps, the fidelity on display is dazzling, as the stunning views remind us of the jaw drapping distances seen in Foza Motorsport 5's Prague course. It's made all the more impressive when you consider Forza Motorsport 6 now has 24 cars on-track to contend with.

This has come at a cost however, as it's been confirmed that Forza Motorsport 6's headline weather and night racing effects won't be dynamic, reigniting the frame rate vs. fidelity debate – do you sacrifice the fidelity to maintain a buttery smooth frame rate, or boost the graphical effects and reduce the frame rate? Turn10 went with the former.

If you're wondering how it was possible to play Forza Motorsport 6 with a triple screen setup, the demo was running on a PC for demo purposes.

Look out for more Forza Motorsport 6 E3 2015 footage coming soon, including an interview with Creative Director Dan Greenawalt.
