Turn 10 Studios has revealed a new batch of cars that'll appear in its soon-to-be-released Xbox One launch title, Forza Motorsport 5.

Leading the charge in the 24-strong car lineup are a quartet of highly-strung performance cars, representing some of the technological pinnacles of their respective eras.

These range from the iconic Lamborghini Miura (looking about as stunning as it ever has done in the Forzavista screengrab on the right of this page), the equally sublime carbon-clad Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, a Teutonic muscle car in the form of the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series and – making its Forza debut in Forza Motorsport 5 – the turbocharged, technological tour de force that is the Nissan GT-R Black Edition.

On top of the four motors listed above, a batch of 20 familar cars from previous titles in the Forza series return in (we assume, given there are no official in-game renderings of them to go on at time of writing) next-gen graphical glory, which go as follows:

    • 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex
    • 2013 Viper #91 SRT Motorsport GTS-R
    • 2010 Audi R8 Coupé 5.2 FSI quattro
    • 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR
    • 1991 BMW M3
    • 2011 Volkswagen Scirocco R

    • 2012 Dodge Charger
    • SRT8
    • 2011 Subaru WRX STI
    • 2005 Ford Ford GT
    • 2009 Lotus 2-Eleven
    • 2011 RUF Rt 12 S
    • 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV
    • 2004 Saleen S7
    • 2003 Renault Sport Clio V6
    • 2003 Ferrari Challenge Stradale
    • 1968 Oldsmobile Hurst/Olds 442
    • 1964 Aston Martin DB5
    • 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
    • 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
    • 2007 Honda Civic Type-R

All in all, it's safe to say the Forza Motorsport 5 official car roster is growing rather nicely (here's our first

and second posts on the Showroom Updates, to see for yourself in case you missed them), and we're looking forward to seeing how

what new additions are confirmed in the coming weeks.
