News Forza Motorsport 5 Gameplay Trailers – Lotus E21 F1 and Audi R18 e-tron quattro

With a week to go until Forza Motorsport 5's global release date, Turn 10 Studios has released a pair of all-new gameplay trailers featuring the title's most high-tech racing cars.

First off is the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, the diesel-electric Le Mans Prototype that became the first hybrid to ever win the 24 Heures du Mans endurance race earlier this year. Whether you can actually use the KERS boost in Forza Motorsport 5 remains to be seen, but at least the Audi LMP1 car looks right at home on Forza 5's next-gen rendition of the Circuit de la Sarthe.

Next up is the Lotus E21 Formula One car (one of the more unusual and unexpected cars to be added to a recent Forza Motorsport game) being pounded around the Yas Marina Grand Prix circuit, itself one of the all-new tracks to the franchise. It all looks and sounds very lovely, though – judging by the amount of speed that can be taken through the technical marina complex – it disappointingly seems the DRS flap in the rear wing does nothing to affect downforce levels…
